Fun In The Alfar Lands

Ahh.... just another day in wonderfully Agon, and a nice little bit of hate on good old Cthulhu. ;)

First however I would like to tell you about poor Mk. I was marking a runestone, when he decided to stormblast up to my location above the bank in Shoal. It was then that his explosion caught me with it's blast as he tried to get up the last few feet. Needless to say, the Alfar guard towers made short work of him. Poor guy. Oh well1 That's what he gets for messing with me, hehe.

I got this after declaring war on The Industry.

Hey and look! A crafter from The Industry! I love crafters!

Some Fun in Catacombs

It all started out as a normal dungeon crawl. Well more like normal dungeon camp, because that is what you do in the Catacombs sprinkled throughout the Lineage 2 landscape. Find a room, and camp it!

Looking down into the bloody water... I know the entrance to the catacomb is down at the bottom somewhere, but dare I dive in? Of course!

Once inside, I start killing things like usual!

Except... this team of bots decided to attack me! Well, actually, I attacked them. But they decided to fight back. It's always fun fighting these guys, especially when I win and kill them all.

Only later, a high level Tyrant came for me! He wanted revenge for my killing of his bot team. Thankfully a high level player helped me out and killed the guy for me.

So, I resurrect our fallen comrade Captain Beefheart and continue the adventure.

C Grade!

Wohoo!! I got C grade! Yes I have had this armor saved for awhile, waiting to be used. I may have gone a bit overboard overenchanting three crystal daggers till I got this one at +5 but hey! It's all good fun. So here I am standing at the entrance to Dragon Valley showing off my awesome dagger and excellent Theca armor.
Don't I look great?

Who is this guy? And why did I kill him? Er, I forget actually. I'm sure he deserved it though.

Looking out towards the adventure ahead!

Dr Oleg I'll get you!

I log in today to find that I have been under attack! Thankfully the person wasn't able to finish me off... Who are you Dr Oleg?

Well I did a bit of sleuthing, and I found that Dr Oleg has only killed 3 pirates. So he is not a major PKer. And yet... I see that one of his most recent pirate kills was a member of my Anti-PK clan the Bloody Jewel! Is this guy a Jewel hunter? What did we do to him?

I don't know the answers to these questions, but perhaps someday I will find out.

I tried to track were Dr Oleg went but with all this water around it's hard to find a good trail. (I found his tracks at one point, but they just went into the river, and I couldn't find them again on the other side.)

But who knows, Shartak IS an Island and chances are I will run into this Dr Oleg again to exact my revenge!

Some More EG Fun

EG, if you don't know, stands for Execution Grounds. The Execution Grounds are one of my favorite areas in Lineage 2. They used to be (and still are) one of the most likely places to run into a PK. I have been PKed, and PKed, a number of times here in EG. The monsters here are easy to kill and quick to level up on. The rewards are pretty good, you can get some D grade pretty easily. EG has a nice progression of monsters to level up on too, another reason why it is a good place to level up. (And why you often run into a lot of other people doing the same thing as you)

Death comes easy in the Execution Grounds. Especially to monsters.

I love this place!

Oh just another picture of a monster.

Alright, I think this is a really beautiful picture. Check out that sunset, and that view!

*sigh* Goodbye L2, again!

Well, it seems every few months I'm switching MMOs. I guess that's how it has always been for me, thats why I kind of think of myself as a "perma-noob". I think its because I honestly enjoy being a noob. It's not even that I must play the newest shiniest MMOs (although that is often true) sometimes I will leave a new one for an old one.

Well, in Lineage 2 I had made this clan called KTULU. It really chokes me up leaving L2, but I'll say what I can. KTULU was a cult, we role-played, and we killed. Killed lots. :) I had two regular members that I would go and PK some noobs with. Times where good!

But... Lineage 2 just takes too much time out of real-life and I need to focus on school and my studies. I'm not quitting MMOs thats for sure! But Lineage 2 just isn't the right game for me now and the kind of life I want to have.

I know some people could easily balance the two (real-life and the game) but I just can't. Lineage 2 is just way too addicting! Especially since I know what it takes to really do well in the game.

So I'm heading back to EVE. :)

I want a tattoo like that. :)

Ups and Downs in Lineage 2

Wow, I sure have had a rough week in Lineage 2! One single noob came to the Deviant Realms server and shook everything up. It all started in IRC where I met this girl named Kimmi. She was very fun to talk to at first and we chatted a ton for a couple days. We went and trolled some other IRC servers and generally acted like idiots. I like to help out noobs and so I gave her some startup cash. Not much only like 150k adena. Enough to get a noob a little bit of a headstart but its not like I twinked her very heavily. And so this girl started asking me for more money asking me for this asking me for that. It was very annoying. She annoyed me so much one day that I couldn't keep myself from killing her and then rezzing her and killing her again. :)

Here is a screen of me working off the karma I got form the PKs. Sorry I didn't get a shot of her body :D
Anyways well I made a terrible mistake. I think I kinda became attracted to her. >< style="font-weight: bold;">really trying to do was overload the trade so that there where so many items they would just bounce back t0 her because in L2 if you dont have the inventory space then the trade just bounces all the items back to their owners. When the trade bounced she could say something like "Haha suckerr" or whatever and run off with the weapons and stuff. Well the trade went through thanks to my extra inventory spaces and now I got all my stuff back plus a little extra. ^^This might seem like I was the asshat of the situation and that she was the victim. But believe me it couldn't be further from the truth. Because shortly after I got her stuff Kimmi managed to steal a full set of B grade armor and jewels and a B grade weapon. (Which she then rubbed in my face like it was some victory, wtf does stealing from a clan I'm not even in have to do with what happened between us?) And basically spammed and f'ed with people untill now half the entire server wants to kill her on sight. Not bad for a weeks worth of work. ><
And of course I couldn't help but take pictures of the pretty stuff. :)

A typical yet exciting day in Lineage 2

I have been just grinding out levels with ChewToastOnce. I look forward to getting her to level 40 and then to change her class to a Treasure Hunter. Once I get that second class I know my skills will really start to open up!

I will be stronger the higher I level up. That said, I think I'm plenty strong right now. I saw this dark elf when I was exploring and I made a split second decision to kill her.
The picture is a bit dark, but while I was running around looking for trouble I came across this huge statue tucked away southeast of Giran. An interesting detail and it doesn't seem to serve any purpose. (You see, most of the areas in Lineage 2 there is a clear theme to each place but this just seems random)

Mmm... meaty!

I have a nice meaty blog for you today. Heavy on great screenshots with extra levels on top! To get things started I dinged level 50 Provisioner on EverQuest2. I had fun on my brief stay in Norrath... but I don't think I'm going to stay. I don't know why but the game just hasn't managed to keep me entertained. I just cannot get into it, so you might not see anymore EQ2 for awhile. :(I was bored and I felt like fooling around with a new character, so I made an Elven Knight. I've been thinking about making a tank in Lineage 2 because I really enjoy tanking in other MMOs. Well, I'm not going to play the character much more because I think the name is too unwieldy and because I found out later that the elf Tank class is one of the worst classes in the game. :PThere is a new event on the Deviant Realms server! You collect heart pieces and then play a little mini-game for prizes. The prizes are pretty good including Blessed Scroll of Escape (the one that can make you instantly teleport away) some great pots, scrolls that cast buffs on you, and if your luck Enchant Weapon and Enchant Armor scrolls all the way up to A grade. ;)

I played on CowNoseTheCat for a bit but I was killing mobs really slowly. I need to kill monsters faster if I want more heart pieces, so I logged onto ChewToastOnce! Here is just a random screen I took, nothing special but I like little details like the skull on the irrigation pipe in the gardens on the edge of the Execution Grounds.I got to level 29. ^^
There was this guy who I saw sitting AFK for a long time. I wasn't even going to kill anyone, I just wanted to actually level up for a change. But how could I resist?
->WIRUSEK: I kill an ant
->WIRUSEK: and realize my three children
->WIRUSEK: have been watching.

While I was hunting I got my first halfway decent item drop! I'm going to save these in the bank, but I can crush them for crystal later.Well that's all today. Be sure to tune in Monday for Comic Monday!

First raid since the blog was started!

Today was a great day! For the first time in awhile I was able to go on some raids with my clan the FalseGods. We grouped up in our clan hall and set out to goddard to take out the first dragon we could find! We spot the dragon, and get ready to attack!
We slay the dragon with no complications thanks to our buffs and equipment. It drops a Dark Crystal Shield! Without delay the FG crew storms off thirsty for the next kill. We find one, in the Tower of Insolence. It's a ghost of some sort, with a crew of henchmen with it. We slay the ghost.. and it drops some Dark Crystal Leggings! Both of these armors are A grade, good stuff. I feel lucky to get these drops. :D I did get a screenshot, but it doesn't look that great so I'm not going to post it. I would rather just show you guys the good stuff then bog ya down with every little screenie I get. Except for the shots of me standing over someone's body. >:D I don't care how boring the SS is, I just like seeing my name red!

We search further for another boss to kill... and find one! In our eagerness we attack, and not all of us are fully buffed.
So the damn thing kills us. But! Not to be defeated, the FalseGods regroup and rebuff and are able to take it down on the second try. It doesn't drop anything of note, but I hope we learned a lesson. We kill a few more bosses, but then, when when we go to the Giants Cave we fight one of my favorite monster types!Scary isn't it! I used to hunt these things for EWB's, but now we are hunting for much better loot. We don't get anything special from it this time, but it was a great fight! Sadly some of our tanks die a few to many times to this boss. So we call it a night and go our separate ways.

In other news, I got a crapload of Enchant Armor D grade today for ChewToastOnce:Now almost every piece of armor (including jewelry!) I have is enchanted at +2! I didn't know if I should be focusing on enchanting my jewelry or my regular armor so I just enchanted both equally. You can also see I got a Blessed Scroll of Escape and another Maingauche! The BSOE will help me PKing because I can use it to instantly escape from battle if someone jumps me or if I'm about to die. These things will go a long way to keeping me from dropping any weapons or armor. The maingauche... well I'm not sure if spending my money this way is really wise but I'm going to try enchanting this dagger at the same rate as my other dagger. My reasoning is... If I can enchant both of them high enough I will be able to get one really high without fear of losing more then just a single +1. And if anyone kills me while I'm red and I happen to loose my dagger, well, I'll have a backup that I can fall onto.

I decided to have a bit of fun with ChewToastOnce to celebrate my acquisition of all the EAD. So I went out to find someone to kill. Right outside the gates I saw a warrior of some kind who's name was Nibba. I stalked her for a bit, and waited till she killed some mobs till I attacked. She must have been pretty well equiped, and a higher level, because she did not just go down for the count like I expected. Was it because she was wearing heavy armor? I'm not sure but we fought for almost two minutes and seemed evenly matched. Finally she was able to kill me with a lucky shot (my HP pot hadn't done its job yet) and I faced my first ever defeat. I'm not sad though, it was a good fight and I give her lots of respect for putting up the first real fight of this game.

The second person I attacked was a much cleaner kill. I went to the Ruins of Despair (a classic PKing location, and a classic leveling spot as well) to find someone to kill. Well, around the middle of it I saw a mage killing monsters and XPing. She was killing the Bugbear Warriors in less then two hits! So I knew I didn't really want to just run up and start whacking on her, for fear she could easily just blow me out of the sky in a few hits. So I found a good hiding spot and sat there, watching the mage. Eventually she must have ran out of mana or something because she started to SOE! I knew this was my last chance, so I ran out and was able to get one power move in and then when I hit her twice with my regular attack it cause a critical hit and she was dead in less than two seconds. Before they knew what was happening I ran off... to get rid of the karma I received.->Polydectes: Covered with the flowers,
->Polydectes: Instantly I'd like to die
->Polydectes: In this dream of ours!

D grade!

Yes! I finally got D grade today. ^^ I have been saving up things to sell with my other characters, and last night all the deals I had planned went though. So I was able to go on a spending spree and fully equip ChewToastOnce with a weapon and jewelry.I also had some extra EWD lying around. I don't think the glow is bright enough though, so I'm going to try and enchant it more. Phew I don't know how I feel about enchanting. I want to have a nice over enchanted weapon , but how would I feel if it breaks? I'm thinking about getting another dagger and enchanting the both of them... and just increase both of them as high as I can. Mabye that a is silly waste of money I don't know. :DEager to try out my new gear I buy some of my Rouge skills and head out into the wilderness to kill some monsters for more SP.*ding* As I hunt I level up to 21. ^^ The Execution Grounds have always been a favorite zone of mine. The mobs are great looking and I have fond memories of leveling many characters there. :) One of my goals is exploring places I havn't been in Lineage 2 with this character. So I won't just be grinding the same old spots this time, I will be exploring the landscape.
I came across this guy right outside Dion. He was hunting monsters and looked like he was really low on mana... I'm not sure what kind of armor he had but it probably wasn't very good either. I watched for a bit, then when he walked over next to me... I attacked! It might not have been the best tactic, but it worked because in a few hits I killed him. Perhaps next time I will be sneakier. But what could I really do? He was right outside the Dion town gates.. I literally killed him in board daylight.
->MANIMAL: Night; and once again,
->MANIMAL: the while I wait for you, cold wind
->MANIMAL: turn to rain

BlackFlag is created

I have a little ChewToastOnce update today. I was talking to a friend of mine who was inspired by my PKing adventures to create a PK alt himself. We where talking and he mentioned making a PK clan. I have always had this idea in the back of my mind for awhile because I figured with all the death that comes with the life of a PK I would have plenty of SP to level up a clan. ( You see, when you die in Lineage 2 you loose XP but not SP or skillpoints) So we talked and I decided to go ahead and make the clan. :) We discussed a variety of names and have decided upon:BlackFlag! Arr, yes we be a band of pirates that shall roam the fields and plains of Lineage 2 searching for people to kill and rob! It's name shall inspire fear across the land! And Haiku.

So who is this friend of mine? Well, I would like to introduce you to: Carl!Carl is a good guy. He wants to be a PK real bad. He has never really PKed before, but I can see he has a thirst for blood an action in him. Does he have what it takes to be a killer in Lineage 2? I don't know. The next few months will test him hard. He's wearing the gear I used until level 20 so he is well equiped to kill. But once he gets his first class change done and reaches D grade? That is where it really begins.

Well Carl had never actually killed anyone. I could see he had a thirst for blood. So I decided to show him to ropes of Talking Island and find him his first kill. We wandered around, first to the waterfall, then to the stone circles that sometimes people camp. There was nothing untill on the beach near town we found a clue! A bow that a monster had dropped and someone had failed to pick up. And nearby there was a few Stems! You know what that means... whar thar be loot that wasn't picked up, thar be a victim nearby! So we search and we search... and I go to show Carl a great spot to find people, and that is the spot with all the stone guardians. People like it because they move so slow, good for mages. And what do we find, but a victim! Get 'im Carl!The chase is on! He attacks and...
Well, for those of you who have a quick eye you might notice the dead person isn't who Carl attacked at first. Hmm, should have bought some haste potions!
